2006-2007 Report

Web-based Professional Development Project (WBPD):

NCSE is excited to release the final report for the 2006-2007 research cycle of WBPD.  This report features the action research of WBPD participants representing five states and nine communities.  The report is sectioned utilizing NCSE’s framework for school engagement (Attendance, Attachment and Achievement) and the Three Domains of educational practice (Access to Resources; Flexible Instruction, and Welcoming School Climate.)

The reports highlight the work of participants to increase understanding and improve practices to promote school success for homeless and highly mobile students.  Personal stories and accounts are shared and many offer guidelines on how to replicate their work.  Several chapters include survey instruments that were developed in conjunction with the action research.  Each chapter is prefaced with an abstract and keywords section.

Listed below are links to the complete report, sections, and a summary of chapters.
