Free teacher surveys!
Tripod, based at Harvard University, is offering the MET surveys FREE to individual teachers for the first time. The surveys come from the Measures of Effective Teaching Project; you can learn more about that nationwide initiative at http://www.metproject.org.

They have been validated among thousands of teachers and millions of students to reliably measure effective teaching techniques, not teacher popularity. The surveys are also available to entire schools and entire school districts, along with additional supports. Those versions entail a fee, but individual teachers can sign up for free at (at http://tripoded.com/). Students take the surveys online, and results are analyzed and delivered to teachers automatically.
